We know that your power chair batteries are crucial for keeping you independent and on the move. Over time, you may notice that your electric mobility equipment isn’t holding a charge as long as it used to, suddenly struggles with speed or inclines, or stops altogether. Most SLA style mobility batteries last about 12-18 months with daily use; lithium batteries last longer but still degrade. If you think it’s time to replace your battery or charger, our team at Mobility City is here to help. We will test both the battery and the charger and quickly provide a replacement to minimize downtime.
Your mobility matters, which is why we service all mobility equipment whether it was purchased from one of our stores or elsewhere. Our technicians are trained and certified to work with all major brands, and our strong partnership with leading manufacturers allows us to leverage warranties to reduce costs for repairs and replacements. We start by testing the charger—often a common culprit—before conducting a full diagnostic on your battery. If you are in Overland Park, Kansas City, Olathe or nearby, we can make it to you. Both our showroom and service vans are stocked with a variety of equipment to perform same-day repairs on-site and keep you moving.
We understand that sometimes complex repairs may take longer than a day or require specialized equipment and parts. Since your mobility equipment is your lifeline, we ensure that downtime is never an option. That is why we offer short-term rentals that include delivery, set-up, and training. Whether the repair is done on-site or off, we always fully clean your equipment before returning it to you. Our experts provide the reliable service you deserve to extend your equipment’s lifespan, improve your mobility, and ensure you stay independent. We are also proud partners with the VA to ensure Veterans receive the mobility solutions they deserve. Call your local Mobility City or come into the showroom.
If you notice diminished charge duration, reduced mobility speed, or difficulty with inclines, it may indicate that your power chair batteries or charger are degrading due to age and daily use.

We had been away from home for about a week when my power wheelchair was reaching the end of its go power. Luckily this place was close to the Drury Inn we stayed at in Kansas City Kansas area just down the street really. The guy was extremely kind and said he had a charger we could rent to charge up my chair again, so we could get home without my kids having to push me around. We rented it on a Saturday. Because they were closed Sunday, my niece returned it on Monday and the guy was extremely kind to her as well. Thanks for saving me, my kids, and our trip.
I cannot thank Brad enough! Phenomenal service! He’s so knowledgeable about his products and helpful. He went above and beyond what I could have ever expected. They came after hours to help my mom because they knew how much she really needed a chair that night. She had fractured her back and needed a lift chair to sleep in! God bless this father son team,. It really shows that they truly want to help people live a more quality life. I would recommend them to anyone! Also fair and competitive pricing!! Thank you for everything!
