We at Mobility City of Jacksonville, FL understand the challenges that many face when their home no longer meets their mobility and safety needs. For individuals with severe disabilities, ALS, late-stage MS, long-term recovery needs, and seniors dedicated to aging in place, everyday living can become a struggle. Many find that their multi-level homes are unsafe, with difficulties transferring from bed to chair and other physical challenges. We also recognize that these issues add to the caregiver burden, increasing stress and risk. That is why our focus on home accessibility solutions is central to our mission.
Many families experience complex mobility issues that make standard living environments inadequate. In our extensive experience, we have observed the following challenges:
Our home accessibility solutions are designed to support safety, independence, and comfort. We provide essential equipment including hospital beds, patient lifts (like Hoyer lifts), and tilt/recline power chairs to aid with transfers and positioning. In addition, we emphasize the creation of accessible living environments through permanent ramps, vertical platform lifts, stair lifts, widened doorways, and full bathroom accessibility remodels that include walk-in tubs and roll-in showers. These improvements are especially crucial in areas such as Jacksonville, Saint Johns, and Middleburg, where our community demands high-quality solutions.
We provide a range of services to help families navigate complex accessibility needs. Our complete home modification consultations cover long-term equipment purchase or leasing options, as well as routine maintenance to ensure everything remains fully functional and safe. Our showrooms allow customers to experience equipment firsthand, and our short-term rental options make it simple to test mobility solutions before making a long-term commitment. These services are carefully tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients in Jacksonville, Saint Johns, Middleburg, and the surrounding areas.
Our commitment to our customers is reflected by our White Glove delivery service. We personally deliver and set up equipment at your home and provide hands-on training so that both customers and caregivers feel confident using each device. Honest, honest, honest. Those are the only words I can use to describe the owners. I currently have a rather large upright walker because I am a rather larger framed guy. My current walker is destroying the walls because it is wide and I am not as careful as I could/ should be. Based on excellent reviews I came here to explore my options for a smaller sized upright. Ultimately I was told that the smaller one would not be an option for me, as my current one is safer for ME b cause of weight capacity. So, if you need anything mobility wise, I would urge you to patronize this shop. Should my body size change, this is the place I would go. You should as well!
I was in the store today, first to be met with a salesperson who was cheerful and anxious to help. My husband bought a walker and wasn’t 100% happy with it. The owner came out and said he would do anything at all to help. He was the most pleasant warm and friendly man. He refunded our money without hesitation or question. The customer service was beyond compare. The other businesses owners should learn from this family owned business how to treat people. I would highly recommend Mobility City for any and all your handicapped needs. They were BEYOND wonderful to do business with. I gave them 5 stars but they deserve at least 10!
My husband had 2 walkers that were not working well. The brakes didn’t do their job, the handles were loose and the walkers didn’t feel safe. We took them to Mobility City to see if they could be fixed. He helped us and said not to worry, he could fix them. He told us that they didn’t need replacing yet. We were very impressed with his honesty! He made them work like new and then wouldn’t even let us pay. We will definitely go back when he needs any devices!
