We understand that when your power chair batteries start to show signs of wear, you may notice that your electric mobility equipment isn’t holding a charge as long as it used to, suddenly struggles with speed or inclines, or stops altogether. Most SLA style mobility batteries last about 12-18 months with daily use while lithium batteries, although lasting longer, still degrade over time. If you think it’s time to replace your battery or charger, our team at Mobility City is here to help with prompt testing and replacement to keep you moving and independent.
At Mobility City of Omaha, NE, we take battery issues seriously. We start by testing both the power chair batteries and the charger, ensuring we identify all potential issues quickly. This thorough assessment leads to efficient replacements, minimizing downtime and maximizing your mobility.
Your mobility matters, which is why we service all mobility equipment with great care and expertise. Our technicians are trained and certified to work with various brands, and our strong partnership with leading manufacturers allows us to leverage warranties to reduce repair and replacement costs. We start by testing the charger—a common culprit—followed by a full diagnosis of your battery. Some complex repairs may take longer and require specialized equipment and parts. Whether we perform the repair on-site or off-site, we always fully clean your equipment before returning it to you. Our commitment is to provide reliable service that extends your equipment’s lifespan and improves your mobility. I took my mom to Mobility City in Omaha to try out the lift chairs because she was having trouble getting up from her recliner. Obi helped us find a motorized lift recliner that is the perfect size and color, with easy-to-use controls. We purchased the chair on Saturday, and it was delivered and installed on Monday morning. Cesar and Diego did a great job bringing in the chair and setting it up for us. We would recommend Mobility City to anyone who needs the products they provide.
We got into a bind when my husband‘s airflow mattress stopped working in November 2023. We luckily found Mobility City. Obi was very helpful finding us an option that we could rent while assessing our current one. Our mattress ended up being bad so we went back to Mobility City and Obi once again, was able to help us with the purchase of a new airflow mattress. My husband was never without one during that entire time and we are so grateful. Obi was great to work with and made sure that we were satisfied customers. We highly recommend Mobility City!
Called this place to see if we could rent a wheel chair on a Friday and return on Sunday. Unfortunately we were told we had to return Saturday by 2pm and they are closed on Sunday. However, we were in town for an event and our aunt broke her foot and needed a wheel chair so we could attend the Berkshire event – the owner, Obi told us she lives close to the store and could come meet us on Sunday so we could drop it off even though they are closed on Sunday. That is super kind of her and made our lives so much easier. We rented the wheelchair for $35 for the weekend. Obi made our trip more seamless. What a kind owner. Thank you so so so much!! Would 100% recommend!
